During pregnancy I was legitimately always thirsty. I felt like I drank a gallon of water and could just never quench my thirst. On top of that, I specifically craved lemonade. If you’ve ever been pregnant you know how those cravings go – you must have it now. Obviously nothing is wrong with a glass of lemonade here and there but at the rate I was consuming this stuff I needed to put a healthy spin on it. I made this mint filled, stevia-sweetened version and was immediately obsessed:
24 ounces of filtered water
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
Handful of fresh mint
10-15 drops of liquid stevia
Directions: Rinse mint and add it to a large mason jar or pitcher. Add water, lemon juice, and stevia (add a few drops at a time to determine the sweetness you like). I like to let the mint sit in the lemonade for 20-30 minutes, then add ice to serve. You could also muddle the mint a bit and drink immediately.
It’s so damn refreshing, especially heading into warmer months. Enjoy my healthy lemonade!
sounds great! Mint so good with so many things. Thank you for technique. Don’t have liquid Stevia. I’ll click your link for a recommended brand. ❤️😘
Yes! I’m a fan of stevia, but I’ve heard some people don’t love the taste so let me know. Play around with the citrus/stevia ratio too. But the mint is the BEST!
